Strategic Planning

I have a PhD in Organizational Leadership from Eastern University. My dissertation focused on the impact of COVID on the identity and culture of an organization. In my work with nonprofits (everything from church to a zoo!) I’ve learned that strategic planning often stops after determining a mission statement.  This carefully crafted document is often safely filed away, only to see the light of day when it is time to write the next mission statement.  Getting from here to there can be challenging in terms of managing resources and overcoming other obstacles.

During an initial meeting, we'll determine together where your organization is 'on the map' and where it is you hope to go.  We'll begin the process of identifying obstacles, as well ways of approaching them.

Conflict Resolution

Conflict is often seen as a negative, however it is often through conflict that essential change occurs.  The problem is getting from conflict to resolution relatively intact!  Feelings of agitation, sleepless nights and fear sometimes require an outside mediator to work through to a solution.  Using techniques taught by the Lombard Mennonite Peace Center through the Mediations Skills Training, I have assisted organizations in working though negotiations and conflict.

Grant Writing and Funding

My training in grant-writing is through Candid (formerly, the Foundation Center). I’ve successfully written grants for several organizations, and can assist your organization in finding the finances to give wings to those dreams.

Coaching

I’ve completed training with the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and am working toward accreditation.
